Martha Washington First Spouse Gold coins sold out within the first day of issue, according to rumor. These twenty four karat gold coins are from an annual series of coins currently being issued four per year by the US Mint. Some presidents had no first spouses so a "Liberty" coin has been issued instead. I like that they call it first spouse and not first lady, even though no first gentleman has ever existed in the US.
